I usually get my steaks from a secret farm outside of Columbia. I usually don’t buy from stores and figured I’d check this place out on a whim since I smoke steaks for friends on Saturdays and needed a couple extra steaks.
I got 16 oz of CAB NY strip. Immediately cut in half, added some salt and pepper grind, slapped it on the grill, seared it and let it finish indirect. These steaks were some of the best I’ve ever had. Super tender and easily cut with a fork. Definitely beats the farm to table steaks cooked at the same time. I hope they’ll make a steak only freezer stock package then I’ll be in way more often as they are kind of on the expensive side.
